Getting From Hard Rock To Citywalk, Universal Studios, & Islands Of Adventure
One thing that you’ll really love about staying at the Hard Rock Hotel is that it actually sits right next door to both the Universal CityWalk and Universal Studios. Because of their ideal location, it makes it really convenient to get back and forth from the hotel, shops, and restaurants located at the CityWalk, as well as getting to both of the theme parks. Here are the different options that you have to choose from to get to where you want to go:
-
Water Taxi –
If you stay at any of Universal’s resorts you will receive a complimentary pass for their water taxi service. They start operating 30 minutes before the “Early Park Admission” pass that you also can get if you stay at one of their resorts. They run all day until 2 AM and they run every single day of the year. Almost all of the resorts have their own water taxi which means that you’ll be picked up from your hotel and then taken directly to their CityWalk dock.
-
The Garden Walkway –
Even though the water taxis are a lot of fun, the fact that the Hard Rock Hotel is so close to the CityWalk and both theme parks, you may just want to take a nice stroll to any of these places. The walk to the entrance of Universal Studios is only a five minute walk. The walkway is only about a fifth of a mile to the entrance and goes from the gate of the Hard Rock pool to the entrance of the CityWalk entrance which is also right next to Universal Studios. The short walk is also very beautiful because it’s just filled with a variety of lush plants to enjoy on your short walk. On top of that, the Garden walkway never passes through any public roads, making it a very safe walkway.
-
Shuttle Buses –
Universal offers a bus service that runs on a continual schedule between their hotels and the general guest drop-off spots that are all near the Universal garages for parking. The only problem for some of the guests is that the parking garage drop-offs are about as far away from the parks entrances as the day guest parking areas, so there really is no time advantage here. There is an advantage for guests with disabilities though if they need to rent wheelchairs for the day since rentals for wheelchairs are located on the second floor of Universal’s transportation hub.
SeaWorld & Aquatica
All Universal hotels offer their “Connector Shuttle” to guests who also want to visit SeaWorld and their water park Aquatica. This shuttle scheduled because they only have one pick up in the morning and one drop off during the evening so you need to make sure you reserve both a pick up and drop off time when visiting either of these two places.
