When booking holidays to disney world you may be wondering whether or not Disney are currently offering extra magic hours. In our current post we look at whether this is currently being offered to Disney for its guests that are staying onsite.
Biggest Change
Their biggest change has been to try and help curb the spread of the virus, they decided to cut events that tend to draw huge crowds like “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party” and the “Candlelight Processional” found at Epcot. They also have cut down on their holiday show called “Castle Dream Lights”. They also made sure that their photo ops with all Disney characters and Santa Claus would be socially distanced.
During The 2020 Season
When Disney re-opened in the summer of 2020, they did so by suspending any new hotel reservations, ticket sales, dining and experiences like FastPass+, and even limited their Extra Magic Hours. The reason why they decided to suspend any new ticket sales and resort reservations was so that they could focus more on accommodating their guests who already had existing reservations and tickets.
All of their theme parks have been operating at limited capacities and restaurants were and still are adhering to social distancing. Because of this they decided to cancel all existing dining reservations. They also canceled all of their experience bookings because many of them would be either limited by capacity or closed when the park re-opened.
