Disney package holidays remain a big hit for UK guests and it’s not hard to see why! The magic of the house of mouse and all the happy memories it evokes makes it an instant hit with the young and the old.
If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World all the way from the UK, you no doubt will want to make sure that you really have it planned out well. So, probably one of your top questions might be: “What Disney park should I go to first?” This is a great question because if you want to make sure you have a great time, it’s best to figure out where to go first to have the best experience.
Lots Of Variables
When it comes to planning your trip to Disney World there are plenty of different variables you should consider when you are trying to decide how many days you’ll need to visit this magical place. You are going to want to plan the perfect trip and this means also setting the ideal tone and tempo for all the time you’ll be visiting there. It’s important that you try to become immersed in all the themes and fantasy as quickly as you can. So, we’ll go over three different scenarios for you in order for you to better plan your trip.
Three Park Day Hopping
This type of trip of course is going to be more like a sprint but if your time is limited you might want to consider it. To do this one you will definitely need to stay at one of their resorts for five or six days because two of those days will have to be devoted to travel. So, where would you start, which park first? It’s simple, the first park you would want to visit would be the Magic Kingdom. By visiting this park first you will be immediately immersed into the magic of Disney. By entering through the train station and walking down Main Street USA with the castle as the backdrop will fully cement you into the magic. This is the only park that can bring such incredible sensations of joy and childlike wonder, even to adults.
The second park that you consider is Animal Kingdom. You really will want to see Avatar Flight of Passage, the Kilimanjaro Safari, and Expedition Everest, all three are musts to make sure to experience. Because this is the shortest of visits, you might want to consider using half the day visiting here and then use the rest of the day visiting Epcot.
As for a third park for this length of stay, it should be another visit to the Magic Kingdom because this is just one of the best places to visit for the true magic of Disney. Also, it’s the busiest of the three parks so more than likely on your first day, you would not have been able to have experienced it all.
Five Day Park Hopping
Spending five days at Disney World is the most common vacation which also includes two travel days making it a total of seven days there, but if you want it to be more leisurely then you might want to make it a nine or ten day trip overall.
Again, the very first park you’ll want to visit will be the Magic Kingdom. There’s just nothing like it because it just sets the mood for the rest of your trip.
The next park you should visit on this five day trip would be Epcot. Here you can experience some really great food and beverages especially at the International Food & Wine Festival. There’s also plenty of fun attractions such as Frozen Ever after, Soarin’, and Test Track.
After Epcot you’ll want to visit Hollywood Studios. Here you’ll be able to feel like you’re in the middle of a Hollywood studio. And you really enjoy the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and their Toy Story Land especially if you love all the Toy Story movies.
After Hollywood Studios, the next day you’ll want to visit the Animal Kingdom and maybe want to consider getting a FastPass so that you can get on attractions quicker and then use that same pass to end your trip with another visit to the Magic Kingdom to finish out your five day trip.
If you choose this route, you really should consider staying at an on site resort so that you can enjoy the beautiful nightly fireworks from where you might be staying so that you can kick back and relax instead of ending your evening in a a huge crowd where your fatigue might take away from the enjoyment.
Seven Days Or More Park Visit
If you can afford it, this would be the ideal amount of time to visit Disney World in order to truly be able to grasp the entirety of Disney World. By visiting seven days means you’ll need to actually stay for at least ten days. By staying this long it enables you to really set your own tempo and tone for the best experience for you and your entire family, especially if you have younger children. For this vacation here’s a possible scenario that you might want to take:
-
Day One –
Visit the Magic Kingdom
-
Day Two –
Spend a half day at the Magic Kingdom and the other half at Hollywood Studios
-
Day Three –
Spend more time at Hollywood Studios and then you’re evening is free to relax
-
Day Four –
Spend half the day at Epcot and half the day at the Magic Kingdom
-
Day Five –
Spend at the Animal Kingdom
-
Day Six –
Spend half the day at the Epcot and finish up with the Animal Kingdom
-
Day Seven –
End your trip by visiting the Magic Kingdom one more time, especially if you have younger kids. If you are staying for upto 14 days you can of course have days off from the parks and travel around Orlando and experience what else is on offer.
The reason why we suggest starting your trip off with the Magic Kingdom and ending it with the Magic Kingdom is this is one of the best ways for you to make the most out of the true magic of Disney. You start off immersed in the magic and end it with the utter magic and this will make your trip truly a magical and memorable experience.
